Who we are

Prestige Lighting Co. designs, installs and maintains landscape and architectural lighting in Connecticut. Our address is 310 Firetown Rd, Simsbury, CT 06070. You can reach us at info@prestigelightingco.com or (860) 299-6030. We are the company responsible for the information described here.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us. If you never fill in a form, we hold nothing about you beyond the ordinary server records described under Cookies below.

• Your name, email address and phone number.
• The address of the property you would like lit, and the town it is in.
• What you told us about the project: which areas interest you, the type of property, an optional budget range, and any notes you add.
• Photographs of the property, if you choose to attach them.
• How you would prefer us to reply — phone, email or text.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to prepare a quote, to arrange and carry out a consultation at the property, and to do the work if you go ahead. We also keep records of jobs we have quoted and completed. We do not use your details for anything else, and we do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to.

Photographs you send us

Photographs you attach to an enquiry are used to understand the property before we visit. We do not publish them. Photographs of finished work only appear on this site or our social media with the property owner’s permission, and we will ask you directly rather than assume it.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as remembering an answer while you move through the quote form. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site.

We do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, the banner at the bottom of the screen will ask before any such cookie is set, and you can decline. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled on our behalf by the companies that run this website and our email:

• Vercel — hosting for the website, in the United States.
• Supabase — the database holding enquiries, in the United States.
• Vercel Blob — storage for photographs you upload.
• Resend — delivery of the email that tells us you have been in touch.

We may also share information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for two years, in case you come back to us. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for seven years, which covers warranty, insurance and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices and rights

Connecticut residents have rights over their personal information under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act: to see what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to get a copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. We do not sell data or run targeted advertising from this site.

We will honour these requests whether or not the Act formally applies to a business our size. Email info@prestigelightingco.com and we will respond within 45 days. If we turn a request down, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and you can contact the Connecticut Attorney General if you are still unhappy.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No website can promise perfect security, but we keep what we hold to a minimum, which is the most effective protection there is.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information — for example by switching on analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
